Cruise In at Joey Doggs
On Saturday, September 18th the Grand Strand Miata Club got together for a Cruise In at Joey Doggs in Surfside Beach. Joey Doggs is a drive-in hamburger/hot dog/milkshake kind of place. A guy named Roger and his wife Kathleen put on these cruise-ins. It's basically a car show held at a local drive-in – Sonic, Joey Doggs, etc. People who own hot rods and custom cars show up, park together, and spend the evening socializing and admiring each other's cars. This is not a car club, just a bunch of people who have interesting cars. There was music (Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, car songs), door prizes, trophies, and food available at Joey Doggs.
We had 6 of our own club member's cars there, plus 2 more cars from other Miata clubs.
